Logan targets more Team GB success in the pool

Scottish swimming coach Gina Logan is demanding more Team GB success at the European Youth Olympic Festival - despite guiding her rookie troops to six medals in the first two days of competition.

Cupar-based Logan - who was Scotland's swimming coach at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 2006 - has led Team GB to three golds, one silver and two bronze medals in Tampere, Finland.

But with two days of competition remaining and another 16 gold medals up for grabs, Logan insists she is not resting on her laurels.

"There is definitely more medals to come and I'll be doing my best to make sure we get them," she said.

"Six is pleasing but I would have liked a few more, some of the swimmers have missed out when they should have won something.

"We've had one or two disappointments, but on the whole it has been good so far."
