

Kirsty Hart shows golden talent at Scottish Age-Group Championships
Kirsty Hart (Ren 96) was a double winner on the third day of the Scottish Gas National Age-Group Championships at Edinburgh’s Royal Commonwealth Pool. The 18-year-old won both the 200m backstroke (2:17.39) and the 100m butterfly (1:02.81) in the senior 16-18 years section.
Douglas Scott (South Lanarkshire), who competed for Scotland at last year’s Commonwealth Youth Games in India, also showed form by capturing gold in the 200m breaststroke in 2:21.90,.
Warrender’s Craig Hamilton, who has qualified for the GB team for this summer’s European Junior Championships, claimed his second gold of the championships by capturing the 400m freestyle in 3:58.15.
Garioch’s Emily Jones, who trains alongside Olympian Hannah Miley, reached the impressive mark of half a dozen golds in the 13 years section with victory in the 100m butterfly in 1:07.76.
