Hannah heads Scottish team for overseas meets

Hannah Miley (Garioch) will continue her preparations for next month’s world championships in Rome when she competes for Scotland in two legs of the renowned Mare Nostrum series.

A squad of eight Scots have been selected for the on-going training camp followed by the meets in Barcelona and Canet over the next few days.

Scottish National Coach, Doug Campbell heads the party alongside Doug Frost, who is Head Coach of the Stirling Intensive Training Centre (ITC). The team members were selected on their performances at the British Championships in March.

"It's a great opportunity for the swimmers to sharpen their race skills against some of the best in the world,” said Campbell. “It will also be great preparation ahead of the Scottish Gas National Championships in Glasgow at the end f this month.”

Scottish squad: Ross Douglas (Swansea ITC), Jonny Greig (Stirling ITC), Andy Hunter (Stirling ITC), Hannah Miley (Garioch), Iain Macmillan (Edinburgh University), Louise Pate (Edinburgh University), Andrew Rodgie (Edinburgh University), Lewis Smith (Warrender / Stirling ITC)
