Hannah and Robbie on title trail

Olympic finalists Hannah Miley and Robbie Renwick are two Scots on the medal trail at this weekend’s Scottish National Short-course Championships at Tollcross Leisure Centre in Glasgow.

Miley underlined her class at short-course level when she won medals in both medleys at the World Short-course Championships in Manchester last year, and the Garioch 19-year-old defends five National titles this weekend.

At the Olympics in August, Miley, who is coached by her father, Patrick, reached the final of the 400m medley, and the pair have already started to look ahead to London 2012.

Renwick, 20, is another young Scot who reached finals in Beijing – in the 200m free and the 4x200m freestyle relay - and he will also be aiming to show form in the pool that he now calls home.

The Aberdonian is still working with long-time coach, Eileen Adams, but they are now both working under the banner of the City of Glasgow’s new High Performance Squad. Renwick is involved today in the 50m and 400m.

While many of the Olympics have either retired or are taking a break, Todd Hunter and Andrew Hunter are both on the medal trail this weekend, while there will also be an opportunity for a number of youngsters to make a mark.
