Multi-Paralympic medallist James Anderson picked up where he left off on the opening day of the IPC Swimming European Championships claiming his second medal in Reykjavik.
The 46-year-old scooped his first title for five years after securing 50m freestyle gold on Sunday and was back on the podium again with bronze in the 200m freestyle.
Anderson got off to a poor start and was well outside the medals at the halfway stage but battled back on the final leg to move up to third.
The six-time Paralympic champion touched home in 5:10.49minutes as Israel’s Itzhak Mamistvalov took gold ahead of Dmitry Kokarev of Russia.
