Scotland's John White put up a great fight before going out to Egyptian top seed Amr Shabana in today's Dunlop British Open in Liverpool.
The 35-year-old No.13 seed took the second game to raise hopes of a huge upset, but the younger man eventually won 11-9 7-11 11-5 12-10 in a match that stretched to close to an hour.
White reached the final six years ago - but he is now coaching in America and this might have been his last real chance to win the coveted title.
He earlier had the distinction of pulling off the quickest win in the first round.
The former world no. 1 needed just 26 minutes to dispatch Australian qualifier Aaron Francomb 11-4 11-7 11-5.
