White bows out in semis

White still a force to be reckoned with after strong showing in Holland
Scotland's John White showed he is still a strong force in world squash when he reached the semi-finals of the Forexx Dutch Open in Amsterdam.
The 35-year-old US-based player overcame Miquel Angel Rodriquez (Colombia) 11-3 4-11 11-8 11-7 to reach the last four.
But he didn't have enough firepower to overcome top seed Nick Matthew. The Englishman was a comfortable 11-9 11-4 11-8 winner and set up a final against Australia's Cameron Pilley.
"It was great to come over to Amsterdam and make the semis," said White, a former world No.1. "I lived her for a while and it's always nice to be back and meet old friends. It was also good to reach my seeded position."
