

Scottish players travel the globe in November
There were mixed fortunes for Scotland’s top Scots on the world circuit. Alan Clyne, who reached the semi-finals of the West Open before falling to eventual winner, Andy Whipp, failed to get past the qualifying in the Santiago Open in Spain.
The Inverness 21-year-old, who won his first Professional Squash Association Tour event in America this autumn, lost 5-11 9-11 11-4 3-11 to Germany’s Jens Schoor.
But Stuart Crawford is ready to challenge for the Palasprin Open in Parma in Italy. The former Scottish Champion is the No.4 seed.
Jamie Macaulay, another full international, will be making his bid to qualify for this weekend’s Prague Open in the Czech Republic.
Fall three Scots, top-level matches are a vital part of the build-up to next month’s World Doubles Championships in India.
The final doubles trials for the Scottish team will take place in Nottingham later this month.
