

Ferguson pipped in the final by Pakistan's Khan at Heriot-Watt
Pakistan’s Amir Khan beat Scotlans’s top seeded Chris Ferguson in a thrilling final of the boys’ under-19 event at the Heriot-Watt University Junior Open. The visitor eventually claimed the spoils 11-9 in the fifth and deciding game.
In the younger events, brother and sister, Greg (under-17) and Kirsty Lobban (Under-15), made it a double family triumph.
Another final that went the full distance – and more – came in the under-17 championship. Morgan McGuire beat No. 1 seed Rosie Allan 14-12 in the decider.
In the girls’ under-19, Mhairi Charlton made it another Scottish win with a straight game victory over Ireland’s Rachel Black.
