Stuart Crawford staged the perfect warm-up for this weekend’s Scottish National Championships by winning the North of Scotland Open at Aberdeen SRC.

The No.2 seed, who reached the last four of the Salzburg Open the previous weekend, staged an upset in the final with a 11-4 11-4 9-11 12-10 win over English top seed, Peter Billson.

The Scottish Championships take place at Edinburgh Sports Club – and Stuart will be gunning for a third National title. But the favourite will be the holder, Alan Clyne. It  promises to be an exciting tussle between the two.
