Scottish Champion Stuart Crawford has reached the quarter-finals of the Fairmount Open in Philadelphia.
The Irvine man is the No. 8 seed and he comprehensively defeated Steven Thompson, representing Namibia, 11-9 11-4 11-7, in the opening round.
He now faces Pakistan’s Arshad Iqbal Burkhi, the No. 4 seed, who ended the hopes of Scottish teenager, Lyall Paterson. The more experienced player won the opening encounter 11-6 11-4 11-8.
