Crawford and Small join shoe-in Clyne in Scottish squad

Alan Clyne, Stuart Crawford and Chris Small have been chosen to play for Scotland in the world team championships in Odense in Denmark next month.

Clyne won all three rounds of trials staged at Heriot-Watt University over – but he did drop his first game of the series in beating Crawford 6-11 11-8 11-8 11-5 in final No.3.

In the vital third place pay-off, Chris Small overcame Lyall Patterson 11-5 11-9 11-9 to clinch his trip to Denmark.

The fourth member of the Scottish team will be selected by National Coach Roger Flynn.
After the trials, Scottish Squash President Ron Pearman presented two awards. The Scottish Player of the Year went to Clyne, while Chris Ferguson was named Scottish Junior Player of the Year.
