Alan Clyne continues assault on world rankings with Spanish win
Scotland’s Alan Clyne has won his second Professional Squash Association at the Magdalena Open at Castellon in Spain.
Seeded No.2. the Inverness 21-year-old beat Scottish Champion Stuart Crawford in the first round – and ended the tournament in style by beating top seed Joe Lee in straight games.
Clyne, a full-time player, won his first PSA title in Charleston in America last September and is now ranked No. 100 in the world. He should now break the top 100 barrier in the May rankings.
Clyne is now back in Edinburgh working hard with Scottish coach Roger Flynn in preparation for the European Team Championships in Sweden at the end of the month.
