Scotland’s Alan Clyne continues to make his mark on the world squash scene and has reached the quarter-finals of the Talisman Energy Bankers Hall Tournament in Calgary.
The Inverness 21-year-old, who won his first professional tournament in America last year, had to get through the qualifying before convincingly defeating the No.6 seed from New Zealand, Martin Knight, by 11-3 11-5 11-7.
His reward is a last eight meeting with the No. 1 seed Jan Kouhal, from the Czech Republic.
This weekend, Scotland’s Stuart Crawford is playing in the Welsh Open in Cardiff and opens against the No.4 seed, Stefan Braunels (Austria).
