

Alan Clyne loses out in quarter-finals of British Squash Association Tour event
England’s Ali Walker, the No.2 seed, turned out to be the scourge of the Scots at the Ned Vale of Ilkley Open.
In the second round, Walker ousted Scottish Champion Stuart Crawford 11-3 11-2 11-8 and he then went on to beat Alan Clyne 11-6 11-5 12-10 in the quarter-finals of the British Squash Association Tour event.
In the second round, Clyne, a No.5/8 seed, beat Eddie Charlton 11-6 12-10 11-7.
Scottish Champion Frania Gillen-Buchert lost in the second round of the women’s championship, going out 3-11 2-11 8-11 to England’s Emma Beddoes, who was a 5/8 seed.
This week, Clyne, Crawford and Gillen-Buchert will all be playing for Scotland at the European Team Championships in Malmo in sweden.
