Clyne climbs the rankings

Following his great success in winning his first professional title at the Charleston Challenge last month, Scotland’s Alan Clyne has soared 26 places to No.116 in the new world squash rankings.

The Inverness player’s next big date is will be playing for Scotland at the world doubles championships in Chennai in India in December.

Clyne’s target was to make the top 100 by the end of his debut season on the PSA circuit, and his win in his first tournament as a full-time player shows he is well on target.

Scottish veteran John White, who reached the final of the Dutch Open last month, remains the leading Scot. The former world No.1 has climbed two places to No.17.
