Clyne aims for Scottish double

Alan Clyne, already a winner on the PSA Tour, is firm favourite to complete a Scottish National double at Heriot-Watt University at Riccarton this weekend.

The 21-year-old is the current Scottish Champion – and he is top seed to add the Scottish nder-23 title on Sunday. His main rival will be Orkney’s Adam Bews.

The Scottish junior Championships also take place this weekend with Hannah Anthony, the winner of last month’s Under-17 title at the Scottish Junior Open, among the favourites.

In the Open final she scored an upset win over Mhairi Charlton – and her Aberdeen clubmate will be out for revenge.

Chris Ferguson and Ian Jubb head the list in the under-19 boys’ event, while Lisa Aitken will be one of the favourites for the under-9 girls’ award.
