Scottish snowboarder Lesley McKenna made a solid start to her World Cup season by finishing fifth in the half-pipe event in Switzerland.
Aviemore’s McKenna, a cousin of Scottish skiers Alain and Noel Baxter, has represented Britain on the circuit for many years, as well as competing at two Winter Olympics.
This fifth place is one of her best results in the World Cup. Last season she attained a fourth place finish, which was her best in four years.
The LG FIS Snowboard World Cup event was held in the resort of Saas Fee of Switzerland was won by China's Jiayu Liu in difficult conditions.
