Ok, we still don't know if slalom supremo Alain Baxter has repeated his 2005 feat by winning the latest Super Stars crown up for grabs when the TV series is screened from 11th July.
However, ITWZ has learned that the format of the eight series (60 minutes each) series programme has changed.
For in 2008, Baxter is reported to have competed within one of four teams, each captained by the likes of 5 x Olympic rowing champion Sir Steve Redgrave and a trio of track and field athletes - double Olympic gold 400 metre runner Dame Kelly Holmes, Roger Black and Darren Campbell.
First screened in 1973, it's believed the new team format of the Super Stars programme will again feature the punishing 'dips' bar favoured by Baxter and the judo great Brian Jacks. New disciplines will include kayaking and speed climbing!
Moreover, Baxter won't be the only winter sport athlete in action.
Shelly Rudman, the 2006 Winter Olympic bob skeleton silver medallist is also reported to have participated in the forthcoming series.
