Stirton takes silver

Silver for Stirton at ISSF World Cup
Scotland’s Neil Stirton has won the Silver in the Men's Prone at the ISSF World Cup in Munich.
A new Personal Best, and British International Record, of 599 in the qualification round took Neil, a Commonwealth silver medallist in Melbourne two years ago, into the final in second place, tied with World Champion Sergei Martynov of Belarus.
A very close final saw Neil take the lead for the middle section, finally being overhauled by Martynov at the very end by the narrowest of margins (0.1), with Warren Potent of Australia moving up from 6th to 3rd.
