Neil Stirton selected to compete with world's elite
Neil Stirton heads for Bangkok on Tuesday to compete in the prestigious World Cup Final competition.
This event, held annually, features a elite field of 12 athletes in each Olympic rifle and pistol event.
Eight athletes qualified from the World Cup matches held in the spring and are joined by the three medalists from the Beijing Olympic Games and the World Cup Final winner from the previous year.
Neil will compete in the Men's Prone event, in which he won a Silver medal at the third World Cup of 2008 in Munich, and leaves the UK on Tuesday along with coach Donald McIntosh.
The Men's Prone is scheduled for the 3rd of November, and will be shown on ISSF.TV.
