Scots clog up medal table in Bisley
There were several medals won by Scots at the British Championships at the weekend, held in Bislye, England.
Matt Thomson won the Men's Prone, after a qualification round of 594 took him into the final in first place, just ahead of Northern Ireland junior Matthew Hall. Although the gap was narrowed at times, Matt retained his lead throughout to win his first senior GB title. Mel Mutch also qualified for the final, ending up in fifth place.
There were Scottish medallists in all of the other events - Graham Rudd taking Silver in the Men's 3x40, with James Paterson, Martin Sinclair and Brian Inglis fifth through seventh respectively.
Emma Cole-Hamilton took Bronze in the Women's 3x20, with Sheena Sharp fourth, and Emma took Bronze again in the Women's Prone, with Sheena fourth again, and Susan Jackson fifth.
Matt also combined with Neil Stirton and James Paterson to win the Men's Prone international match, with all three of the other Scottish teams coming second to England despite the Women's Prone team raising the Scottish Record by one point.
Susan Jackson becomes the fifth Scottish athlete to hold 50 international caps, joining Robin Law, Cyril De Jonckheere, Donald McIntosh and Sheena Sharp.
