Lochcarron's Fraser Mackenzie has been appointed coach to Scotland's national squad until 2011.

Ballachullish's Charles Young, Fort William's Drew McNeil and Lochcarron’s Kenny Ross have been appointed as Assistant Coaches for the same period.

Mackenzie, Young and McNeil have a vast and varied amount of coaching and playing experience both in club shinty as well as at representative and international level.

Last year's captain Kenny Ross has been added to the coaching team as a developmental opportunity.

This coaching team will ensure that the Scottish Senior National Squad is best prepared for this year's Shinty/Hurling International in October at Bught Park, Inverness.
