Camanachd Association team up with GAA in bid to raise cross-code profile
The Camanachd Association have met with officials from the Irish Gaelic Athletic Assocation in a bid to raise the profile of the annual shinty/hurling international.
This year's match will be held at Bught Park in Inverness on October 31 as part of the Homecoming celebrations.
But both governing bodies are actively seeking funding to give the game a better platform.
A univeristy hurling match will be added this year and there will be matches at Under-21 level and a women's international.
The senior international will be broadcast live on BBC2.
