With just 18 days to go until the start of Scotland's largest regatta race off Tarbert in mid-Argyll, the 135 strong entry list highlights that many previous winners of the offshore classic will again take the helm on the Bell Lawrie Scottish Series' 33rd birthday.
In the IRC (Class I) defending champion Conor Phelan (Royal Cork YC) returns aboard Jump Juice whilst Jonathan Anderson will also set sail, seeking his fourth title after sailing off with the silver ware in 1979, 1986 and 1992.
Racing in the IRC 2 class, Chris Bonar is another seasoned sailor who will be aiming to add the 2008 title to previous wins in 1985 and 1997.
However, with wins aboard Antix in 2004 and 2006, Anthony O'Leary of the Royal Cork Yacht Club will be hoping for the luck of the Irish and to deny the Clyde based skippers as he steps aboard his Antix Eile in the IRC1 class.
