Patience enjoys Christmas race with bronze medal in Spain
Scotland’s Luke Patience was among a host of GB sailors to finish on the podium at the Palamós Christmas Race in Spain.
Patience and his regular sailing mate, Chris Grube, were third overall in the 470 class. They secured the bronze medal after gaining fourth place in the final medal race.
Displaying impressive form at the start of the next Olympic cycle, the GB Team won three classes.
John Pink and Rick Peacock won the 49er, Andrew Mills came out top in his Finn and young Eifion Mon captured the Laser class ahead of fellow-Briton Robert Godwin.
