Warriors fly-half Jackson ruled out

Glasgow Warriors fly-half Ruaridh Jackson will be out of action for three months after damaging his shoulder in the 22-9 win against Munster.

The 21-year-old sustained the injury scoring the only try of the game in Friday’s Magners League opening round at Firhill.

The setback means Jackson will not be able to add to his solitary Scotland cap in the autumn internationals and he will also miss Glasgow’s opening two Heineken Cup matches in October.

Warriors team doctor Gerry Haggerty said: “Following medical examination on Monday evening Ruaridh will have his shoulder stabilised in the coming week once the injury has had time to settle.

“It will take around three months for the shoulder to heal but our immediate aim is to ensure a full recovery for Ruaridh and to have him back playing for Glasgow as soon as possible.”
