Edinburgh prop Traynor looking forward to building on strong 2009 season
Scotland youngster Kyle Traynor is predicting an Edinburgh Magners League title challenge next season.
Having finished as runners-up last season to Munster, Traynor is convinced Scottish rugby is finally on the up.
Yet again neither Glasgow nor Edinburgh reached the knockout stages of the Heineken Cup but Traynor, who is away with the Scotland A team in Romania, thinks Andy Robinson's men will be a force in 2010.
"I can't wait to get back with Edinburgh," said Traynor. "I worked hard after the Leinster away match in September when I didn't get picked for a while.
"Over the last few weeks, I am increasingly confident we can equal or if not better what we achieved as a team this season.
"Looking ahead my main goal is to help Edinburgh win the Magners League.
"I still don't think I'm the finished article. I know I've got a long way to go if I want to keep my place.
"But, I feel as if I am heading in the right direction. I just need to carry on working hard and keep my head down."
