Jim Thompson set to make return for Edinburgh after injury lay-off
Full-back Jim Thompson is in line to make his Edinburgh return on Friday after a successful outing for Selkirk.
The 24-year-old has struggled with a knee injury so far this season and has yet to play a competitive game for Rob Moffat’s men.
But after helping Selkirk see off West of Scotland in Premier One at the weekend, Thompson believes he is ready for Magners League action against Munster.
“I’m raring to go and aiming to challenge for the full-back position,” said Thompson.
“Edinburgh have got off to a good start to the season and got back to winning ways against Ulster on Saturday - I want to help that form continue.
“But it’s just fantastic to be back playing again – to have the set back with the injury after a productive summer was hard to take.
“The medical staff at Edinburgh have got me back on track and I would like to thank them for their help.”
