Students searching for win

Scotland Students aim to end their Universities World Cup campaign on a high when they compete with Ireland in the 7th-8th place play-off on Saturday in Brisbane.

The Scots have lost all four matches so far but at least put their first points on the board in a 34-4 loss to France in their penultimate match.

Napier University's Euan Rose getting the try for the Scots.

That followed a nightmare group stage in which they were beaten 14-0 by group dark horses Greece, then thrashed 58-0 by hosts Australia before going down 32-0 to England.

England overcame New Zealand in the semi-final and will play Australia in the final.
