British and Irish Lions suffer last minute heartbreak
Morne Steyn landed a last-gasp penalty as South Africa came from behind to clinch victory in the second test match and with it also the series.
The Lions had looked home and dry at the break after they had led 16-5 but a succession of injuries in the last quarter to Brian O?Driscoll and Jamie Roberts handed the initiative to South Africa.
The impressive Rob Kearney scored an early try for the Lions and but JP Pietersen went over for the Boks before half-time.
Bryan Habana and Jaque Fourie tries saw South Africa take a late 25-22 lead.
Stephen Jones's late penalty levelled the scores, but Steyn's long-range effort gave the hosts the series 2-0.
Ross Ford, the only Scot in the 22, was not used from the bench.
