Hogg excited by prospect of facing fellow Scots in France
Edinburgh's Ally Hogg is looking forward to a reunion with former teammates Simon Taylor and Hugo Southwell after the Heineken Cup draw paired the Gunners with Stade Francais.
Completing the group are English crisis club Bath and Magners League rivals Ulster but all eyes will be on the two matches against the French giants.
Taylor joined the Parisians in 2007 while full-back Southwell was snapped up at the end of the season and Hogg promised the pair a warm welcome upon their return to the Scottish capital.
He said: "I've never played Stade before, so that should be interesting, especially with Simon Taylor and Shuggy (Hugo Southwell) there.
"We beat Bath in a warm-up match last season, although they will be very difficult to beat and we know Ulster really well from our meetings in the Magners League.
"I think it is a really good draw for Edinburgh."
Meanwhile Glasgow also avoided a 'group of death' scenario after being drawn alongside French side Biarritz, perennial English under-achievers Gloucester and Newport Gwent Dragons who had to beat Italian outfit Calvisano to qualify.
