Scottish players not considered for McGeechan's test 22
Scottish rugby will not be represented in the first Lions test on Saturday after coach Ian McGeechan announced his matchday 22 on Thursday.
The former Scotland fly-half and coach failed to name any of his fellow countrymen for the game against South Africa in Durban.
Ireland's David Wallace has edged out Welshman Martyn Williams for the number seven shirt and England's Ugo Monye takes his place on the wing.
Andrew Sheridan and world player of the year Shane Williams, both favourites for starting berths before the tour started, are not even named in the 22.
Alun Wyn-Jones has been given the nod over Scot Nathan Hines to partner skipper Paul O'Connell in the second row while Wales duo Mike Phillips and Stephen Jones form the half back pairing.
