Scotland rugby triumph recognised by politicians at Holyrood
Politicians united to congratulate Andy Robinson?s Scotland A outfit for their IRB Nations Cup triumph.
MSP Stewart Maxwell, a Scottish National Party former Sports Minister, received support from across the political spectrum for lodging the motion.
Robinson's men defeated Russia, Uruguay and France A to lift the trophy and Maxwell said: "That the Parliament congratulates coach Andy Robinson, captain Chris Cusiter and all of the Scotland squad and support staff for defeating France at the Stadionul National Arcul de Triumf in Bucharest on Sunday 21 June 2009 to win the IRB Nations Cup and notes that Scotland was unbeaten in the championship with wins over Russia, Uruguay and France to take the trophy."
