Andy Robinson makes no changes to Scotland side for Aussie encounter
Andy Robinson has kept faith with the same side that beat Fiji last weekend for the clash with Australia.
Scotland saw off Fiji 23-10 in Robinson’s first game in charge and scrum-half Chris Cusiter has regained the captaincy.
Co-captain Mike Blair and No. 8 Johnnie Beattie missed training on Monday but are expected to recover from their ankle and groin injuries in time.
The home side have not beaten Australia in the last 27 years but Robinson has challenged his side to make the most of their chances.
“We are giving the players the opportunity to perform against a top quality side that the Wallabies,” said Robinson.
“Everyone should want to test themselves in games like this and competition for places is intense.
“We will be watching the Scotland A game against Tonga on Friday night very closely.
“But we are saying to the players for Saturday ‘step up this weekend and show improvement’.”

Meanwhile, Scotland centre Graeme Morrison has vowed to get one over Australia once and for good when the Wallabies visit Murrayfield for the first time in three years.
The 27-year-old made his international bow during the 2004 tour to Australia where Scotland slumped to back-to-back defeats in Melbourne and Sydney respectively.
Morrison went to face the Aussies a further three times from his next four Test matches but admitted he is now a shadow of the man that travelled down under five years ago.
“It was an eye-opener for me and I realised I had quite a bit of work to do. I certainly didn't think I'd win my first cap on that tour after that,” said Morrison – who scored his third career try from 17 appearances during the 23-10 win over Fiji last weekend.
“Touring Australia was a tough way to start my international career, but it was part of learning and developing. I was very young and naive then, but I am glad I have learned and been given another chance.
“It was great to win and to score at the weekend but we know this week will be a bigger test. We have some improvement to do if we are to beat Australia, but that is certainly what I and the rest of the squad want.”
