Robinson's first foreign signing looking forward to teaming up with Edinburgh
Edinburgh coach Andy Robinson has swooped to sign Holland sevens star Tim Visser on a two-year deal after he left Newcastle Falcons.
Visser has played for the Netherlands in the IRB World Sevens series and has followed full-back Steve Jones north of the border from Kingston Park.
The 22-year-old Dutch winger is the first non-Scottish player signed by Robinson and he's already focused on helping Edinburgh go one better than their second-place finish in the Magners League next season.
He said: "It's the right time for a new challenge and the Magners League is a good competition," said Visser.
"I will have to fight my way into the side and that will be difficult because there are already some good wingers at the club.
"It's a bit of an honour to be Andy's first non-Scottish signing and I'm really looking forward to working with him because he's such a good coach.
"I was the first professional player in Holland and I will be the first one to come to come to Scotland."
