Robinson expects more from Scots, says captain Cusiter after Fiji win
Scrum-half Chris Cusiter admitted head coach Andy Robinson was not 100 per cent happy with Scotland’s 23-10 win over Fiji in what was his first game in charge.
The win represents a step in the right direction for Scotland with Fiji ranked higher than them in the world rankings ahead of the weekend’s clash at Murrayfield.
But Cusiter, who captained the side on Saturday, revealed the former England boss will expect an improved display when the Scots face Australia next weekend.
"He was a bit frustrated at the errors we made," said Cusiter.
"We lost our rhythm in the second half and had a few turnovers. We got ourselves in some good positions but were not clinical enough."
And Robinson concurred with his captain’s thoughts, he said: “The first 35 minutes, we played very well, but we played in fits and starts after that.
"We gave a lot of penalties away and knocked the ball on and the guys are a bit disappointed at that.
"We will have to raise our game next week. We are not going to get carried away, but it is a start."
