Andy Robinson praises Scottish courage after historic win
Scotland coach Andy Robinson paid tribute to his players' courage after their historic 9-8 defeat of Australia at Murrayfield.
The Scots broke a duck lasting 27-years against the Wallabies after some inspirational defence kept the visitors at bay.
Australian fly-half Matt Giteau could have snatched victory with the last kick of the game but saw his conversion sail wide but Robinson insisted his players' performance warranted the win.
"I can honestly say I've never seen a more courageous performance," said the former England flanker and head coach.
"Australia had so much ball throughout the game but it took a huge effort for our guys to keep getting up and knocking them down.
"Of course we had a bit of lucky and you need that sometimes but we worked hard and deserved something to fall our way.
"I'm confident that if we can maintain that level of performance, we'll grow quickly as a team, we all know we can do it now."
