Muted performance in Lions win probably not enough to earn a test place for Scots
Scottish prop Euan Murray looks a doubt for the Lions first test against South Africa after he limped out of the tourists' bruising 20-8 victory over the Southern Kings.
The 28-year-old tighthead was replaced by Adam Jones after just seven minutes and is now unlikely to figure in the test 22 while none of Ross Ford, Nathan Hines and Mike Blair did enough to suggest there will be any Scottish representation in Durban this Saturday.
It was not just Murray who suffered, with Welsh fly-half James Hook being removed from the fray on 12 minutes with a head injury.
His replacement Ronan O'Gara levelled Jaco van der Westhuyzen?s early penalty midway through the first half before edging the Lions ahead on 43 minutes with another penalty.
And the Irish stand-off continued to press his test credentials with a crossfield kick for Ugo Monye to touch down and maintain his scoring run for the Lions.
The Lions closed the game out with their dominant scrum forcing a penalty try on 68 minutes and although the hosts hit straight back through flanker Mpho Mbiyozo's try, the tourists kept their 100per cent record.
