Moffat issues warning to Edinburgh's Magners League rivals
Edinburgh head coach Rob Moffat insists there is room for improvement despite his side’s record breaking 62-13 Magners League win against Connacht.
Edinburgh scored eight tries in their biggest ever win at this level, with full-back Chris Paterson finishing the night with a personal haul of 27 points.
A double from Mark Robertson and tries for Paterson, Alan MacDonald, Ben Cairns, Allister Hogg, Andrew Turnbull and Roddy Grant could only be replied with a consolation try from young winger Fionn Carr.
But Moffat believes his side cannot rest on their laurels ahead of a tough trip to Ulster on Friday.
“For me, it's that whole attitude and vibrancy, I thought we had that at Cardiff last week,” said Moffat.
“In the first half I think we were a wee bit flat, we were a bit slow reacting to the ball-carrier. He was isolated, we just didn't get on him; we didn't get any real go-forward.
“But second half, when we did, I thought we played a lot of good rugby. We looked sharp and the good thing is we finished off a lot of the good moves.”
