Cardiff win just the beginning says Edinburgh coach Moffat
Edinburgh boss Rob Moffat insists his side’s hard-fought 22-21 win over the Blues last Friday is only the start of things to come.
Moffat’s men won the nail biting encounter at the Blues’ new Cardiff City Stadium thanks to tries from Alan McDonald, Tim Visser and Chris Paterson.
But Moffat – who took over from Scottish national coach Andy Robinson in the summer – is already looking to the future.
“I was absolutely delighted to kick off on a winning note - there won't be too many sides who win at Cardiff," said Moffat.
“It got a bit nervy at the end but I think it would have been tough on us had we lost – we controlled the first-half and kept them at bay for long periods in the second.
“It’s a great start against a good side and the players deserve all of the praise for the performance they put in.
“We now have to keep our eye on what we are doing and how we develop and I believe we can be much better than this."
