Lions coach Ian McGeechan has played down reports linking him with a job at London Scottish after he returns from South Africa.

The 62-year-old left his director of rugby post at Guinness Premiership side London Wasps earlier this month after four years with the club.

Former Scotland fly half McGeechan is due to coach his fourth British & Irish Lions tour which kicks off next week in South Africa.

But McGeechan's future after the tour is uncertain and he had been linked with the director of rugby role at London Scottish.

But he said: "Twelve months ago I advised them on restructuring because they're very ambitious, but there've been no talks since then."
