Glasgow coach Lineen wary of in-form countryman Sean Lamont
Glasgow head coach Sean Lineen believes controlling former Warrior Sean Lamont will be paramount if his side are going to take the spoils in Sunday’s Magners League game against the Scarlets.
Lineen has stuck with the same XV that beat champions Munster last Friday and his only change in the squad has seen utility-back Colin Gregor replace the injured Ruaridh Jackson on the bench.
The Scarlets, who have not won in Scotland since November 2006, have included Deacon Manu and Dafydd Jones in their side and Gareth Maule could debut from the bench.
“We all know a fit Sean Lamont is a very dangerous weapon,” said Lineen. “He showed he's got his pace back when he scored against Leinster.
“From a Scotland perspective, I'm delighted he's back, but from a Glasgow perspective, we need to make sure he's kept under wraps.
“Llanelli play a very expansive style of rugby and pose a very different threat to Munster.
“They have a hard edge to their forward pack and have some really quality players in there. The test now is to put in another big performance against another very talented side.”
