Robinson faces opposition from fellow World Cup winners for Scotland post
Edinburgh coach Andy Robinson is going to have a fight on his hands to land the Scotland job after it was revealed World Cup winners Jake White and Eddie Jones are also on the SRU shortlist.
Robinson had been the bookies' clear favourite to take the Murrayfield reins but it has since emerged both White and Jones, who together helped mastermind South Africa's 2007 World Cup triumph, are in talks.
White has been out of work since quitting the Springboks job while Jones, who also guided Australia to the 2003 final, has moved to Japan since being shown the door by Guinness Premiership club Saracens.
Despite not setting a fixed deadline for an appointment to be made, the SRU are expected to have their man in place within three weeks.
Former England coach Robinson though will still take charge of Scotland A's IRB Nations Cup in Romania.
