Glasgow Warriors struck down with illness for second time in a month
Glasgow boss Sean Lineen has been left cursing his luck again after his side were struck down by another illness bug ahead of Friday’s Magners League clash with Ospreys.
Most of the Warriors squad have been struck by a flu bug in the last month but, just when Lineen thought they’d shaken that off, five squad members now have a stomach complaint.
And the Glasgow boss admits Lady Luck is not looking kindly on his side at present.
“It’s a completely different strain, a completely different infection, but that is the way it goes sometimes,” said Lineen.
“We have a couple of knocks, bangs and bruises from last weekend, too, though none look too serious. You have to get on with it but we are not getting a lot of luck at the moment.”
The Warriors went down 26-16 at the hands of Ospreys on September 25 – surrendering a 16-6 half-time lead.
Their opponents have ten players in the Wales squad gearing up to take on the All Blacks and despite another injury nightmare prop Moray Low insists the Warriors are out for revenge.
“This is a chance to get back at them. We know what we need to work on,” said 24-year-old Low.
