Grant maintains Edinburgh need to up performances

They may be the only Magners League team with a 100per cent record but flanker Roddy Grant insists Edinburgh are not yet firing on all cylinders.

Rob Moffat’s side had to dig deep to beat Ulster at Ravenhill last week as they overturned a ten-point deficit to maintain their perfect record.

But while the results have been impressive, Grant maintains there is a lot more to come in terms of performances.

He said: “Beating Ulster in what was a brutal game at Belfast’s Ravenhill was very satisfying but we did not play that well. When we play to our potential we will definitely be a real force.

“Having said that, although it was late on when we took the lead for the first time in the 16-13 win over Ulster, that was a match we never felt we were going to lose.

“We knew we had them but there was still work to do in not letting our fightback go to waste and there's certainly something very satisfying about pulling through despite not getting a lot of possession.”
