Scotland's star man Godman ready to step up against Argentina
Scotland fly-half Phil Godman admits he is still recovering from the historic defeat of Australia but maintains his only focus is completing a hat-trick of autumn victories over Argentina this weekend.
The 27-year-old was awarded the man-of-the-match award in a courageous display and now has another opportunity to cement his place in the No.10 shirt against the Pumas.
And although that performance took every last drop of energy, Godman is determined to pick himself up for the challenge of Argentina.
He said: “At the end of the game I was so shellshocked, so knackered I could hardly take in the (man-of-the-match) announcement.
“It was a bit surreal to be standing behind the posts thinking we had held them out for two or three minutes on our line.
“Some guys were jumping about to charge the conversion but I was shattered and standing there in a daze.
“I'm one from one against Argentina but what matters is the importance of completing a trio of Autumn test wins this weekend.
“We need to back up successes against Fiji and Australia against opponents who will be very dogged.”
