Thom Evans adamant Warriors can improve on last season
Glasgow Warriors winger Thom Evans has demanded that his side bury their demons from last season and come back stronger than ever.
The 24-year-old Scottish international knows that the Warriors must improve on last season's finish of seventh in the Magners League, a full 26 points behind champions Munster, if they are to have any hope of pushing for honours.
And Evans, who joined the Warriors from Wasps in 2006, is hopeful that coach Sean Lineen's summer rebuilding will also help him in his quest to add to his seven Scotland caps.
Rob Dewey, Peter Murchie and Hamish Mitchell have all arrived and Evans said: "There's a lot of competition for places, especially in the backs and I personally want to take off from where I left off last season and perform the best I can.
"If you are not performing for your club then you are not going to get a look in at national level.
"I've no doubt we will do a lot better against some of the weaker teams this year because we're a lot stronger.
"We're not going to make the same mistakes again."
