Andy Robinson admits players will not be attracted to Edinburgh by the money
Edinburgh coach Andy Robinson admits the club will have to recruit players on the cheap after the SRU froze their playing budget for next season.
Funds have been freed up by the departures of Scottish internationals full-back Hugo Southwell and prop Gavin Kerr but Robinson insists any new purchases will not be coming to Murrayfield for the money.
He said: "You have to sell them the vision. It's a young squad, but it will grow together.
"With the budget being frozen, it has to be about growth in the game.
"We have a set amount from the SRU but if we can grow the amount we raise from sponsorship, attract more people to our games, then we will have more money available for players like that."
