Ben Cairns warns Ulster of Edinburgh threat
Centre Ben Cairns is confident Edinburgh can continue their blistering Magners League start with a win against Ulster on Friday.
Edinburgh sit at the top of the table and travel to Ulster looking for their first win in Belfast since November 2007.
Scotland captain Mike Blair will again have to settle for a place on the bench after a throat infection prevented the scrum-half from starting in the record-breaking win against Connacht.
Rob Moffat has made three changes to that side with Tim Visser replacing Andrew Turnbull, Ross Ford replacing Andrew Kelly and Kyle Traynor replacing Allan Jacobsen.
Cairns said: “Playing away at Ulster is one of the most difficult tests in the Magners League and we realise that we will have to be at the top of our game in order to achieve another positive result.
“When we won there in 2007 it was a really important result for the team in terms of our development in terms of learning how to win away from home.
“We will be looking to carry on the momentum we have generated over the first two matches at Ulster.”
